For many years we have been familiar with Collins Home and attended wakes. This year they helped our family after my father's passing. This happened just as the blizzard hit in January 2016. The folks at Collins were kind, professional, and extremely helpful. The snow was piled deep everywhere, but it did not seem to hinder them with their support for us. They also took special care for our disabled mother throughout the services. We are very grateful.

Extremely disappointing experience at this funeral home last night. I was attending a viewing and could not believe how rude several of the staff members were that worked for Collins. One staff member said to me "I hope this wraps up soon." There was still another hour of visitation remaining. Another two staff members were completely inconsiderate to several members of the VFW who had come to pay their last respects to a fallen comrade. Some of the gentlemen were in their late 80's and early 90's using canes and the staff at Collins was most concerned about squeezing them into a very tight space so that they could keep the area by the elevator cleared of traffic. Very poorly handled.

Many thanks to John McHugh and the entire Collins Funeral Home staff for their care, concern and attention to detail in preparing and planning for my father's funeral. I highly recommend them to handle the arrangements for a lost one's celebration of life.

I came here for my aunties wake and was pleasantly surprised how amiable and helpful Richard Gates was with the whole experience. I called today (in the evening) because of that experience to help plan for my mom's passing and make an appointment to come in. Whoever answered the phone was completely rude and went straight into the "money". I didn't call to do prepayments and if you had listened to me, you would have understood that I wanted to make arrangements and plan for my moms final days. I didn't call to have some associate talk to me about the cost. If I did, I would have already given you the damn check. You could have just taken a message and passed it on to Mr. Gates, but your deplorable demeanor and disregard for finding out the needs of the client was and to listen to that person made me to end the call. Next time, just listen and process! Thank you for the apology! It truly made a difference!

I went to my cousin’s service and they were nasty and unprofessional. While the body didn’t look bad, the way my family was treated was just egregious. These people need to learn customer service!
