Every time I get a delivery, the supplies arrive in good shape and in a timely fashion. The drivers are careful and courteous, too. Great place to do business!

Loved it very helpful staff

Helpful...Great selection.

If they don't have it, you don't need it, In terms of home improvement. the wood material is fabulous, they do not sell trash lumber, stone, or what have you. someone in the lumber yard will hand pick what you want at your request, maybe even help load it. They carry top of the line tools for a professional carpenter, or a home-owner looking for something he/she will not have to replace anytime soon. I forgot if they charge or not to cut wood you ordered to specific lengths, there is an industrial saw in store to cut certain specs, but everything there is picked out by somebody who knows what they're doing. customer service is great, if you don't know what you're talking about or can't name the item you're in search for, there isn't an employee that can't help you or direct you to someone who knows. Do not fret, they stay busy, you may have to wait your turn for service. For a know nothing home owner looking for something specific, all the way to a contractor picking up what they need to get a job done. They may be busy, but they'll tell you what you need and help you pick out whats right. also a STHIL dealer. Which means they service their STHIL products. A brand I've become loyal to due to the quality and duration. I've purchased all but one gasoline powered lawn/garden tool there. simply because they don't have the need to sell mowers :D If you step foot in there and feel their prices are high on power tools or parts, which is doubtful, you're more than welcome to have a know nothing pick you out something at home depot. and you won't be happy down the road buying something you'll replace in the near future. the staff is on their toes waiting to help the next customer in line, which they have organized through pulling a ticket number for you to be called. It seems as though those who deal inside the store know whats right for what a contractor may need, or the simple DYI homeowner. I'm writing this review because my fathers first choice for lumber, saw blades and tools as a master carpenter was to check out TW Perry, they are a STIHL dealer and service center, and there's no comparison. Ace hardware, Lowes and Home Depot sell what contract they've made to a manufacturer and could care less after the sale is made. So what you order is what was thrown of the truck. TW Perry knows what a quality piece of hardware is and won't sell anything less. There isn't a moment during business hours that there isn't SOMEBODY that will know exactly what product you're looking for, and in your price range. I leave a 5 star review and rarely write reviews, because this is just a kick a** hardware outlet. for 10 years I have yet to leave the lumber yard or parts/tools department unsatisfied. TW Perry is one of the few small businesses left that will remain in business as long as time allows because of their professionalism. heck, the last order of lumber i purchased was custom cut and the lumber guys requested they load it for me. What more can I say? A+ for the Kensington/Chevy Chase area. Buy the best or buy the cheapest over and over again. -William Northrop

I purchased 7 pieces of 2x6x12 treated lumber at TW Perry in Chevy Chase, Maryland and requested that they by cross cut in half. The sales person charged me for seven cuts ($2.50 per cut for a total of $17.50) . The yard person cut the 7 pieces of 2x6x12 in three batches (three cuts). When I went to the office to request adjustment because I was charged for seven cuts he stated that the number of pieces define the cuts and not how many times the saw has been used. Anyway, if the sales person had told me how a cut is defined I would have not purchased the lumber at TW Perry but it is too late for me now and I hope that future TW Perry customers are aware of this practice.
