Mrs. K didn't do herself any favors by serving a mediocre buffet for Thanksgiving. I've been here before so we thought it would be great to save ourselves the trouble of cooking and cleaning. Nope. Seating was very late and crowded, but the main issue was the food quality. The turkey was okay but the sides were awful and totally unseasoned with even basic salt and pepper. Desserts would have been much better if they just brought in Costco pies. The service was really the bright spot, as usual, but at $50 a person plus drinks this was not a good value at all.
I ate here last Sunday at brunch time for my one year anniversary. Let me tell you, this is the best restaurant in Silver Spring BY FAR. This was the first time in my life that I liked every single thing on the brunch lineup. There was breakfast foods, SEAFOOD!!!, fresh cut meats, and American home style comfort food. I was joking that it would be worth it to throw up in the bathroom in order to make more room for more food.
Just leaving this place; Thanksgiving dinner from hell! The worst food EVER! So crowded, tight and small that you can't even move! Then after spending $400 for the worst food in the DMV; they had a nerve to ask us to go to the lobby for coffee because other party's were coming in and that's an hour of being there. Trust and believe this is the worst food in the world! Heard good things about the place; I guess a lot of people don't know good food or good eating!
The service was a little bit awkward, but seriously...if you live in Maryland please go to this restaurant! The brunch is amazing and affordable.
My sister-in-law had her baby shower there today, and let me tell you there food was outstanding, the room we had the shower in was beautiful. The staff was very nice and respectful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Wow!! Travelling while on business and had the opportunity to eat dinner at this restaurant. Great ambiance and service . The food was beyond amazing. I had the pasta and scallops dish. And don't forget dessert! The wine cellar is a connoisseur's dream! Yes, you should go!
